Images on many U.S. military sites are in the public domain, as well. Many but not all images at the Library of Congress are, too. Where some folks run into trouble is when they find out that "Migrant Mother" by FSA photographer Dorothea Langue is in the public domain, they screenshot the first instance they find online. Only the original is free to use. Many of the "Migrant Mother" images are in copyright because they've been upsampled, sharpened, colorized, or otherwise improved.
I'm going to compare pixabay.com to unsplash.com for legit photo resources. Pixabay has been very useful for my infographics work, and I make sure to give proper credit.
For a future cartoon, how about riffing on Mystery Date and featuring Vladimir Putin in a tux as the dream and Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a T-shirt as the dud?
I don’t remember Mystery Date because my brothers and I got “guy stuff” for Christmas and birthdays. I could’ve used a sister to learn what the other half likes. But, but, but, I DO remember The Dating Game on TV, and that might work for me.
Cease and desist? More like - Go Straight to Guantanamo. Do Not Pass GO. Do not collect $200. (I heard the weather is nice there this time of year. Maybe you and I can be Roomies.) Good stuff Frank. Love it, especially the 60 second time lapse, showing your work. A+. Well done.

I’ll have to see what government faces appear there. Thanks!
I just checked and, uh, there aren't all that many images on the White House site. :-(

Depositphotos.com has highly reasonable rates for licensing. I've maintained an account for several years.
I pick No Clue. Musk in the Oval Office with a Sink.
That’s Colonel Muskard to you, Mister!
